Responsibilities & QualificationsPosition OverviewThe Novelis North America (NNA) team is seeking a Senior Recycling Management Specialist. The person in this role will report to the Metal Procurement Lead. The ideal candidate will be accountable for monitoring, analyzing, reporting, and coordinating the continuous flow of metal scrap, including but not limited to, RSI, auto class scrap and third party purchased scrap to be used in our Tolling Facilities, and the flow back to support of the Novelis North America (NNA) value streams. This position will also assist the business in understanding and improving inventory positions to meet current and long-term business needs in addition to collaborating with business unit personal to create and maintain reporting and analysis to support the NNA teams.
Responsibilities- Single point of contact managing metal inputs on behalf of NNA Recycling Procurement & Supply Chain.
- Partner with Inbound Recycling Management Specialist coordinating inbound metal flow ensuring raw inventory is accounted for and consumptions flow without interruption.
- Responsible for converting raw inventory (scrap) into finished goods (RSI/SHRED/BRICK) within SAP system.
- Sets expectations with scrap toller to report receipts daily.
- Trains and assists Scrap Tollers with in transit report upload functionality. Trouble shoots and helps determine root cause for atypical errors.
- Set up all new Tolling locations in the various Procurement systems.
- Provide exceptional customer service for both internal and external customer/suppliers in support of supplier development and customer centricity.
- Monitor, analyze and coordinate all metal input purchases/movements which includes to the point of receipt to ensure that all metal is being received as planned and work with vendors/carriers to reschedule.
- Work closely with Metal Buyers and our internal Novelis stakeholders to mitigate risk of inadequate supply and other roadblocks.
- Assist the business in understanding and improving inventory positions, provide recommendations on material movement and coordination of supplier loads to meet current and long-term business needs, provide exceptional customer service, maintaining and improving supplier relationships.
- Acts as North American Recycling Team representative on special projects as needed.
- Understand and analyze current processes, provide feedback to help create and implement best practices and standard work for Recycling Management Team.
- Ability to learn and transact in the Metal Recycling Procurement systems and help provide training, guidance, and support to team members and internal customers as requested.
- Ensure that all orders are entered into the various Metal Procurement systems accurately.

Minimum Qualifications- Excellent organizational and communication skills

- Intermediate or higher Excel Skills
- Strong computer skills with software applications proficiency, including SAP, Oracle and Microsoft office products.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred or two - three years related experience.
- Experience in quality metal related field preferred, especially in the aluminum manufacturing, recycling, or operations planning.
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to problem solve.
- Proficiency in software applications and able to learn new technologies quickly
