We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Program Operations Manager to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring seamless operations within our defense contracting company. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating master planning, Earned Value Management System (EVMS) oversight and consulting, program management support, business operations, and setting up templates and processes for division-level financial reporting and program execution. This position requires a strong background in program management, defense contracting, and operational leadership.
On any given day, the selected candidate may be required to:
- Supervise and manage the master planner, ensuring alignment with program schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Provide mentorship and performance evaluations for team members under your supervision.
- Oversee EVMS implementation and compliance across programs to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting.
- Serve as a consultant on EVMS best practices and train staff to utilize EVMS effectively.
- Analyze program performance data and recommend adjustments to ensure cost and schedule objectives are met.
- Collaborate with program managers to develop and execute program plans, budgets, and risk assessments.
- Monitor program execution, identifying and addressing potential risks or issues.
- Ensure all projects comply with contract requirements, government regulations, and organizational goals.
- Coordinate with finance, contracts, and procurement teams to support efficient business operations.
- Develop and implement process improvements to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
- Develop and implement templates and standardized processes for financial reporting at the division level.
- Provide guidance and oversight to teams to ensure consistent use of reporting tools and templates across programs.
You Are Required To Have This:- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, project management, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in defense contracting, program management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of EVMS principles and practices, including government compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to supervise and lead teams in a high-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Active Top Secret security clearance.
Desired Qualifications:- Certification in Program Management (PMP, PgMP) or EVMS (EIA-748 compliance training).
- Experience working with Department of Defense (DoD) or other federal agencies.
- Familiarity with Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and related tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
