We're seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager to join our Devices Sustainability Operations (DSO) team, which drives sustainability initiatives across our Devices Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations. This role will lead the development and implementation of critical sustainability systems and tools that enable us to achieve our goals.
A successful candidate will collaborate across Devices to develop and implement sustainability tools that drive measurable impact at scale. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on technical expertise in energy and sustainability programs. Success in this role requires the ability to break down complex challenges into actionable solutions, anticipate risks, and deliver results on schedule. The right candidate will effectively balance technical requirements with operational realities.
Key job responsibilities
- Design and build scalable sustainability systems and tools, including data analysis frameworks, reporting dashboards, and automation solutions
- Architect and implement technical solutions to streamline sustainability data collection, analysis, and reporting processes
- Lead end-to-end technical program management, including requirements gathering, development roadmaps, and implementation strategies
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and deliver solutions that align business objectives with technical capabilities and sustainability goals
- Develop and maintain metrics frameworks and KPIs, transforming complex sustainability and energy data into actionable insights that drive operational improvements
About the team
Devices Sustainability Operations (DSO) is responsible for driving sustainability across Devices & Services Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations. We do so by engaging our suppliers in areas of Environmental Compliance, Social Responsibility and Sustainability. Our mission is to address sustainability at every stage of our value chain by empowering our suppliers through strategic initiatives that balance profit with people and planet.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
- Experience in data analysis and visualization using tools such as Python, R, Tableau/Quicksight, with strong statistical analysis capabilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong understanding of energy systems, including renewables, carbon accounting, and efficiency mechanisms
- Knowledge of operational/manufacturing GHG reduction strategies
- Experience in consumer electronics supply chain and manufacturing
- Experience with collaborating cross-functionally to design, implement and measure sustainability programs.
- Master's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent; PhD a plus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
