Mid-Level Environmental Engineer in a Project Environmental Engineering Design and Project Management role, with a specialization in contaminated sites to support our Mid-Continent team! Our hiring team specializes in environmental assessments, risk assessments, risk management planning and implementation, and remedial design and implementation for public and private sector clients across the Mid-Continent Region (TX, OK, LA, CO, AR, WY, and MT) and the US. Working with an energetic and high-performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: - Support of strategic pursuits, focused on federal sector and private industrial clients.
- Working on a wide variety of environmental remediation projects including PRB, Slurry walls, and liner/cap/cover scope.
- Work within multi-disciplinary project teams, providing environmental advice to other GHD teams.
- Remain current on standard methodologies for innovative remediation approaches.
- Manage design projects including budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
- Development and review of technical environmental reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Opportunity to work on local, national, and global projects, which may at times entail supporting other GHD office locations requiring some travel.
- Support and mentor junior team members in a learning and collaborative atmosphere.
What you will bring to the team: - Civil or environmental engineering degree
- Possession of P.E. registration to be used to stamp/certify designs. P.E. registration, or the ability to obtain registration within 6 months, in selected states in the Mid-Continent Region is required.
- 5+ years of progressive experience
- Experience with developing and implementing strategies for complex remediation and/or risk management projects.
- Experience in the technical delivery of investigations, designs including drawings and specifications, and construction support for environmental remediation projects.
- Experience and desire to provide high-profile clients with responsive and innovative solutions.
- Experience working on both US Federal and Private projects is considered an asset.
- Proven experience in client advocacy while developing trusted relationships with regulators.
- Understanding US environmental regulations.
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and report-writing skills.
- Strong commitment to client service excellence
