About This Role:As the Warehouse Manager, you will be supervising warehouse staff and overseeing all shipping, receiving, warehousing, and distribution services. This will include receiving, issuing, organizing, and counting materials for maximum efficiency. The role also coordinates with the procurement team in placing orders for live installation crews or restock orders for branch warehouses.
Job Responsibilities:- As a Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for receiving and staging solar and electrical material for our residential solar installations.
- The Manager will ensure inventory counts are executed, identify root causes, recommend corrective action, help manage inventory supply, audit warehouse staff for work instructions/SOP for compliance, and track and report KPI's
- Assisting with fleet operations, ensuring the efficient deployment and maintenance of vehicles for installation projects
- Responsibilities include keeping track of all inventory control, cycle counts, replenishments, updating database, inbound and outbound functions, and communicating efficiently with Field Operations
- Keeping detailed records of Ordered Materials solving any Order issues that arise
- Maintain approved inventory levels to ensure crews have material to meet their installation needs
- Coordinate orders and material needs with the local distributors to ensure accurate job picks and job site deliveries
- Research discrepancies on orders and/or invoices (e.g., overages, shortages, duplicate deliveries, etc.) for the purpose of correcting errors and/or returning damaged/incorrect items to vendors
- Convert requisition into planned purchase order, must analyze open purchase orders and inventory balances
- As a manager, you will be responsible for coaching your team by providing meaningful feedback and helping them to learn and improve
- Review invoices, work orders or demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and to issue work assignments
- Operates warehouse equipment (e.g., hand trucks, pallet jacks, delivery truck with equipment trailer, etc.) for the purpose of moving large and heavy items safely and efficiently
- Participate in periodic reviews of existing policies and procedures with the to ensure maximum efficiency and service delivery
- Responds to inquiries of staff and vendors to provide information and/or direction regarding the invoices, billing, status of deliveries, etc.
- Evaluates warehouse materials (e.g., qualified product list, warehouse supplies, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining quality
- Other duties as assigned
Candidate Qualifications:- 2 years of supervisor/management experience in Warehouse Operations or Management
- Must be experienced with operating forklifts, forklift license will be required if hired.
- Previous experience with shipping/receiving materials
- OSHA Standards compliance
- Understanding of PO & SO
- Excellent Leadership skills
- Experience in Warehouse Logistics
- Computer literacy and warehouse software experience required
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills related to people and inventory
- Excellent written and aural communication skills
- Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders
- Must be able to lift to 50-75 pounds at a time
- Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements (This role requires a valid Driver's License and clean MVR to drive a company vehicle.)
