Job Title: Biologist
Location: Onsite - West Point, PA 19486
Hours: M-F 8am - 5pm
Qualifications:Required experience and skills: - BA/BS in biology or related discipline and two years of experience post-graduation, or MA/MS in biology or related discipline
- Experience in tissue culture, molecular biology, or in vitro assays
- Strong collaborative skills and attention to detail
Position Qualifications: - Education Minimum Requirement: BA/BS in biology, biochemistry, virology, or related discipline.
- Years of experience: 1-2 year
Preferred Experience and Skills: - Design, development, and execution of in vitro assays
- Industry experience or MS
- Experience working with RNA or high throughput assay platform
Responsibilities: - The Department of Infectious Disease and Vaccines at our client's location in West Point, PA is seeking a contractor to join a group of researchers dedicated to the discovery of novel anti-viral drugs and vaccines.
- The role will be primarily responsible for developing and performing in vitro assays in support of vaccine discovery.
The successful candidate will:
- Optimize and execute novel in vitro assays to evaluate vaccine candidates
- Properly document and report experimental findings and assay protocols, and comply with all laboratory safety requirements
- Function effectively within a multi-disciplinary environment
- Be adept at learning new skills/techniques
