As a Senior Proposal Manager, you will lead a team of proposal professionals while also managing and delivering high-quality proposals in support of BBCH's business lines. Your role will involve overseeing the proposal process, ensuring compliance, and driving the development of winning proposals.
Job Location: This is a remote position. Key Responsibilities:- Lead and mentor a team of up to four proposal managers and/or coordinators.
- Provide ongoing coaching and performance assessment to promote individual and team growth.
- Manage team workload and conduct quality reviews.
- Assess Requests for Proposal (RFP) opportunities for organizational fit.
- Assign proposals across team proposal managers - including self - balancing team capacity.
- Collaborate with sales and capture teams to align proposal strategies with capture plans.
- Oversee all phases of proposal development, ensuring timely and compliant submissions.
- Facilitate meetings and coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather and integrate proposal content.
- Develop and manage proposal schedules, compliance matrices, and response strategies.
- Draft and refine proposal components, including management approaches, past performance, resumes, and administrative requirements - this includes researching and digging for information to feed into the proposal components.
- Facilitate proposal reviews and adjust responses based on feedback.
- Create writer packages and ensure consistency across technical, management, and pricing sections.
- Develop and incorporate win themes into proposals and prepare final response packages for submission.
- Manage follow-up activities, including debriefs, content consolidation, and data collection.
- Proactively evaluate and provide feedback on proposal processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years of experience in federal proposal management in the environmental industry
- Minimum of 2 years of experience managing a team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple proposals and competing deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and English composition.
- Familiarity with Responsive and Monday.com desired but not required.
