As our Senior Environmental Engineer, you will...play a crucial role in leading and executing complex projects, from initial concept through construction. You will develop detailed engineering designs, oversee permitting and compliance, and manage construction activities such as quality control and contractor coordination. Beyond technical execution, you will collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes. With a focus on mentorship, you will guide junior staff, review work, and foster professional growth within the team. Your ability to manage budgets, prepare reports, and build strong client relationships will be essential in expanding MFA's impact. Whether leading large-scale projects or supporting interdisciplinary initiatives, you'll leverage your expertise to drive innovative solutions and contribute to the company's long-term success.
To thrive in this role, you must have...- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field and a PE certification (or ability to obtain licensure by comity in WA within 3 months, OR and ID thereafter).
- At least 8 years of relevant work experience in stormwater design, environmental remediation, and site development.
- Familiarity with tools like Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Proven ability to manage projects, mentor team members, and thrive in a collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in engineering design, permitting, and construction management.
What Sets You Apart- Industrial stormwater design, utility design, or grading plans experience.
- Hands-on experience in construction, construction oversight, or construction management.
- Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic analyses
- 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification with current refresher.
- Demonstrated project management experience and the ability to mentor and lead teams.

Compensation Range: $130,000 to 160,000
