a Senior Project Manager to join our energy team in Edison, NJ and in Worcester, MA.About UsAtkinsRéalis is one of the world's most respected design, engineering and project management consultancies. How will you contribute to the team?- Utilizes background in project management, construction, engineering, or design to integrate with ease into complex and large client organization.
- Manages the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of projects. This includes an onsite presence during active construction. Please note a position is available in the following locations: New Jersey and Massachusetts.
- Comfortable with fast paced work dynamics and implementing new client initiatives.
- Ability to manage large portfolios and multiple project teams.
- Subject matter expert to provide necessary guidance to the project team as needed.
- Provides primary day-to-day point of contact to client, third party consultants as owner representative.
- Coordinate with the Business Development to carry project through pipeline process, FMEA process, contract signing and project start-up.
- Facilitates the front-end definition of scope of work for projects in coordination with the client stakeholders.
- Coordinates with the project team to develop front-end budgets, schedules, risk management plan/logs and other reports.
- Manage the project budget and lead forecast reviews. Reviews will be coordinated with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and the executive team to determine that project metrics are appropriate. Reviews will also include client billing management, change order management, risk identification and mitigation of any project issues.
- Responsible for project-level P&L.
- Monitor and ensure portfolio level cash flow, risk assessment and mitigation.
- Develop and implement project execution plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Coordinates with the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) team to finalize health and safety plans for projects.
- Enforce all Environmental Health & Safety policies and drive a culture of Safety & Quality as a core value across project teams.
- Lead all Operations, Engineering, and Procurement huddles.
- Ensure all equipment orders, engineering deliverables and required subcontracts are completed in accordance with the Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule and project milestones.
- Develop, manage, and maintain subcontractor relationships.
- Management of EPC contracts with specific focus on Force majeures, delay notices, schedule relief, and Liquidated Damages (LD) letters to respective parties as necessary.
- Coordinate with project controls to establish and maintain project schedule to meet all EPC milestones.
- Negotiate change orders to the benefit of the client and company.
- Ensure compliance with all project permitting and regulatory requirements such as SWPPP, local permitting, AHJ-specific town requirements, building and electrical permits.
- Manage production to the self-perform work plan and review/adjust it with Superintendents as needed.
- Comfortable utilizing a variety of technology tools to create reporting, dashboards and analyze data for process improvements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to influence change and drive improvements.
- Communicate schedule, cost, quality and safety concerns to management in a timely and concise manner.
- Responsible for presenting portfolio level updates to management.
- Develop and maintain client relationship with timely, accurate, and clear communication.
- Strong communication and problem-solving to resolve client issues to avoid legal actions. When needed, work with legal teams on dispute resolutions and claims.
- Successfully presents ideas and solutions to complex problems to senior leadership.
- Implements project review and quality assurance procedures in accordance with methodology to ensure profitable and successful execution of engagements as measured by regional goals and customer satisfaction.
- Reviews deliverables prepared by team before presentation to client.
- Create and/or update policies in conjunction with the management team.
- Creates and maintains a thriving company culture on project site. Coach employees on cultural improvements.
- Provide feedback, training and mentorship to all employees.
- Foster a motivating team environment between Project Team and all other departments and project stakeholders.
- Actively plans and participates in team building events in their project portfolio.
- Coordinate to hire, train and instill company culture into all team members in their project portfolio.
- Performs such other duties as the Supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
What will you contribute?- Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related field, plus a minimum of eight years of relevant experience.
- Must be highly articulate, have clear and analytical approach to problem solving, and strong decision-making abilities. Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience managing infrastructure/MEP projects is highly desirable.
- Must possess a strong understanding of Project Management and the Building Design and Construction processes.
- Must thoroughly understand and utilize Information Technology in the performance of work including Internet, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, Google Data Studio, Power BI and/or Tableau.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) [certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI) Global Accreditation Centre (GAC)] highly desirable.

Expected compensation range is between $147,000 - $160,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.Upon acceptance of an offer, all candidates must go through a drug screen test and background check.
