Job Description
Saint Joseph's Medical Center is seeking a full - time and/or part - time Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide Aquatic Therapy to students. No experience is required. Reporting to the Director of the School-Based Rehab Program the Occupational Therapists will provide Aquatic therapy to small groups of students with the support of other staff in the water. Additionally, therapist can have the opportunity to also provide standard intervention and evaluation (OT only) for children in schools and/or in their homes, document sessions and progress, prepare Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and maintain ongoing communication with parents, guardians and teachers. OTs may also have the opportunity to provide supervision to, and documentation for, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.
Job Requirements:
Candidate does not require experience, however should have strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and strong communication skills; written and verbal. Must have excellent organizational skills and be flexible. They must also be interested in learning more about Aquatic Therapy and getting into the water up to 4 days a week for one hour long session a day.
New York State Occupational Therapy or Occupational Therapy Assistance License required.

Salary: $46.80 to $150.00 per hour
Eligibility for Health Benefits dependent on hours worked.
