Built as a family business, we are continuing to grow and are looking for motivated and reliable associates to help in our mission of Bringing Chocolate to Life!Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Financial Support & Budgeting:- Provide financial analysis and support to the SVP, VP, and Directors for Procurement/Sustainability-related decision-making.
- Prepare procurement annual budget inputs for commodity raw materials, working capital, and overhead costs.
- Develop forecast models for procurement budgeting, ensuring accurate projections and variance analysis.
- Reconcile budget progress and track special countermeasure projects to ensure financial alignment
Cost Savings & Performance Monitoring:- Track cost-saving initiatives and measure financial impact across procurement operations.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for commodity finance and trading teams.
- Generate internal financial reports, supporting the monthly cocoa review and senior management committee reports.
Financial Reporting & Third-Party Financing:- Conduct third-party financing partner analysis, provide recommendations, and manage reconciliation.
- Ensure alignment between commodity financing, procurement strategies, and risk exposure management.
Commodity Internal Controls & Compliance:- Develop and implement internal control frameworks to ensure accuracy and transparency in commodity transactions.
- Challenge AA primary hedge and tail hedge strategies to mitigate financial exposure.
- Establish best practices for financial and operational risk management in commodity trading.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, financial policies, and company risk management guidelines.
Raw Material Inventory Management:- Define and enforce raw material inventory policies to optimize stock levels and minimize losses.
- Conduct monthly inventory reconciliations to align physical stock with system records.
- Monitor and implement valuation methods for accurate financial reporting.
- Work with Finance and factory operations teams to improve data accuracy.
Inventory Position Management & System Integration:- Ensure accurate tracking of inventory positions across procurement, trading, and finance functions.
- Oversee commodity system integration and alignment with SAP CTRM for seamless financial reporting.
- Work with Finance and IT to improve data accuracy and system functionality.
Internal & External Audits:- Oversee and support internal and external audit processes related to commodity finance and risk management.
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and audit requirements.
Management of Special Projects:- Initiatives to improve the yield from cocoa beans to cocoa liquor.

- Improve commodity stock reconciliation turnaround time.
Stakeholder & Leadership Impact:- Provide timely and actionable financial reports to senior management with on time delivery.
- Strengthen relationships with third-party financing partners, ensuring optimal funding solutions.
Risk Mitigation & Controls:- Ensure complete adherence to internal controls, hedge execution protocols, and regulatory standards.
Inventory & Financial Accuracy:- Maintain inventory reconciliation.
- Ensure alignment between SAP CTRM data and actual inventory positions.
System & Process Integration:- Successfully align SAP CTRM with commodity operations, reducing data discrepancies
- Implement automation tools to improve operational reporting efficiency
Hedging & Market Positioning:- Maintain hedging effectiveness at minimizing market exposure risks.
- Optimize commodity purchase timing to improve raw material cost savings.
Skills and Work Experience Requirements:- Proficiency in commodity trading and risk management systems (SAP CTRM, Bloomberg, or similar platforms).
- Power user in excel and Power BI
- Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and market analysis.
- Experience with hedging instruments, futures, and options trading.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in fast paced environment as an individual contributer.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with finance, IT, procurement, and executive leadership.
Education:- Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in commodity finance, risk management, or trading, preferably in cocoa, coffee, or agricultural commodities.
- Strong knowledge of commodity markets, hedging strategies, and financial risk management.
A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range at the time of posting is below. The base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits. The actual base salary within the specified range is based on several factors, including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior relevant experience, education, certifications, job responsibilities, market considerations and, if applicable, the location of the position.
This role is eligible for either a discretionary annual bonus (based on company, business unit and individual performance) and/or commission-based incentives.
Salary Range $180K-195K
