Job SummaryThe
Regional Wellness Director is responsible for all nutrition and wellness information and activity in the assigned region; develops, supports, coordinates, measures and analyzes nutrition and wellness initiatives; manages and evaluates the provision of nutrition education, training and guidance; and, works with account leaders, district managers, chefs and marketing managers to promote and support nutrition goals, objectives, strategies and policies to develop and provide nutrition resources and to ensure compliance with FDA nutrition labeling laws.
Key Responsibilities: - Assesses client, customer and operator needs; customizes and coordinates nutrition and wellness programs and initiatives.
- Establishes relationships and maintains partnerships with client health and wellness program/initiative designees.
- Assesses regional needs and develops/ provides regional best practice materials for health fairs, lunch and learns, program launches, client meetings, café wellness events, tastings, etc. Monitors and benchmarks best practices across region.
- Conducts, monitors and analyzes audit data and site visit reports to ensure region and account performance against wellness standards; develops corrective action plans with wellness coordinators, wellness managers and dining directors; monitors and enforces corrective action on wellness and sustainability standards, nutrition policies, labeling laws and food allergy management.
- Assesses opportunities to use technology and marketing innovations to help drive wellness. Creates regional action plans for implementation.
- Assists leadership team in the following: overall planning and direction to achieve operations and financial goals; maintaining effective client rapport; and, overseeing all P&L and budgeting as it pertains to the accounts and the region.
- Monitors, assesses and increases Webtrition usage and compliance within assigned accounts; holds units in region accountable for using Webtrition recipes in daily food production.
Preferred Qualifications: - Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required.
- Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing Board in states where applicable required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Five (5) years of professional experience as a Registered Dietitian required.
- One (1) of Wellness experience preferred.
- Serve-Safe certification preferred. If not certified, must obtain certification within twelve (12) weeks from date of hire.
- Culinary and/or Food Service experience preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 50% required.
