Riparia Environmental is seeking an Environmental Project Manager for our team in Fife, Washington. As an Environmental Project Manager, you will oversee a variety of environmental projects, including stormwater management, habitat restoration, mitigation efforts, and other ecological initiatives. You'll be responsible for leading field teams, coordinating schedules, ensuring the proper documentation of project progress, and ensuring all projects comply with regulatory requirements. The Environmental Project Manager will also be responsible for managing client relationships, maintaining a growing portfolio, and acting as the primary point of contact between Riparia and our clients.
This position requires a versatile professional with expertise in various environmental disciplines, including stormwater, restoration, and mitigation. As the demand for environmental services continues to grow, this role will involve overseeing a diverse range of projects while ensuring quality, compliance, and timely execution. The location of responsibility will primarily be within the Fife and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct field crew teams across a wide range of environmental projects, including stormwater, restoration, and mitigation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and overseeing contract management, communications, and negotiations.
- Effectively plan, schedule, and allocate resources for various projects, ensuring that all projects are executed within budget and on time.
- Conduct and oversee site assessments, inspections, and evaluations to determine necessary actions for each project.
- Train field crews on proper documentation, site assessments, and implementation of best practices for stormwater management, habitat restoration, and mitigation efforts.
- Communicate project progress, assessment findings, and necessary follow-up actions with clients through oral and/or written reports.
- Maintain and update a database to track project status, site evaluations, and activities for compliance with environmental regulations.
- Strategically grow the business by identifying opportunities for expanding the client base and developing new business areas.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of three years of experience managing and directing environmental field crews, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- At least two years of experience in client contract management.
- Education: A minimum of an Associate degree is preferred; additional environmental certifications are a plus.
- Demonstrated experience with environmental project management, including stormwater management, habitat restoration, and mitigation.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, best management practices, and industry standards.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe.
- Ability to read, understand, and verify construction plans, regulatory permits, and best practices for environmental projects.
- Must be physically able to walk, lift, carry, stoop, bend, twist, and work outdoors on uneven surfaces. Site visits may include exposure to weather extremes and rough terrain.
- Current driver's license and a good driving record required. Must be insurable to drive company vehicles.
- Certification in relevant environmental fields (e.g., CESCL, environmental planning, or other related certifications) is preferred or the ability to obtain such certifications.

The wage range for this position is $38.00-$55.00 (depending on experience)
