Vashon-Maury Island Land Trust Land Conservation Internship 2025 Description The Vashon-Maury Island Land Trust’s work permanently preserves and stewards land on Vashon and Maury Islands in the heart of the Puget Sound. Our Stewardship program consists mainly of on-site preserve management, habitat restoration, trail maintenance, new trail construction, and invasive species removal. This year, Conservation Interns will work up to 25% of their time at the Land Trust’s Matsuda Farm, supporting weekly farm operations. Interns will help with growing, harvesting, and cleaning food for the farm to school program and the Vashon Farmer’s Market. The position includes housing, informal educational opportunities, wilderness first aid training, native plant identification, restoration design, and community science data collection.
