DescriptionWestern Technologies Senior Environmental Project ManagerWestern Technologies Inc., one of the RMA Companies, currently has openings for Environmental Project Managers in our Salt Lake City, UT office.
Western Technologies' Environmental Project Managers work closely with the Senior Principals, Technical Experts, and Team Leaders to supervise projects, manage clients, and influence business development and growth. We are looking for candidates with a broad range of experience spanning due diligence, NEPA environmental reviews, building science evaluations, remedial investigations and corrective actions, underground storage tank management, indoor air quality and industrial hygiene. Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
The Environmental Project Manager will routinely communicate with existing and prospective clients to scope and prepare responsive proposals and lead a collaborative team to deliver high quality projects and results to our clients.
Key Responsibilities - Interpret data from third party vendors and review technical reports to ensure quality and accuracy of reported findings.
- Provide consultation and guidance regarding local, state, and federal regulations as they impact work practices, strategies, and project outcomes.
- You will coach and mentor junior staff on job performance, data quality objectives, and reporting.
- Expand engagements to develop clientele and win work.
- Participate in collaborative efforts on cross-discipline projects both within your assigned office, and regionally across the company's business footprint.
- Manage budgets, schedules, deliverables, and consultation to meet established project and business metrics for overall project performance.
- In conjunction with Department Directors and Principals, promote and expand service-sector capabilities in one or more disciplines including asbestos, lead-based paint, indoor air quality, industrial hygiene, occupational safety, environmental exposures, construction/infrastructure management, and building sciences.
QualificationsBS in chemistry, biology, geology, engineering, industrial hygiene or related field.
OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPPER Training.
PE or RG certification preferred.
EPA/State accreditations for asbestos inspector, management planner, and contractor supervisor.
EPA/State certifications for lead-based paint risk assessor.
10+ years' experience with environmental, building sciences and industrial hygiene.
Valid driver's license, and insurable driving record.
