Recycling CoordinatorReports to: EHS Manager
Department: Safety
Work Schedule: Weekdays, First Shift
Job Status: Full-Time / Hourly
Position Summary: The Recycling Coordinator perform duties to support facilities ISO initiatives.
Duties / Responsibilities:- Practice safe work habits to ensure safety while observing all relevant OSHA regulations.
- Work in a team environment
- Serve as a good steward of our company's physical assets, protecting them from damage and misuse, reporting all needed maintenance, keeping assigned areas clean and orderly.
- Assist EHS Manager and EHS Coordinator to plan and organize.
- Removing and properly disposing of cardboard.
- Keeping grounds cleared of trash and debris.
- Responsible for bailing/compacting all recyclable materials.
- Running the aerosol can puncture program.
- Keep totes organized and cut down on hill as needed.
- Assisting in department auditing and identifying other materials that can be recycled.
- General building/ground maintenance to include painting, repairing, cleaning up the grounds as needed.
- Driving license and a good driving record to qualify for company MVR.
- Ability to be trained and operate a forklift & gator.
- Assisting and supporting our ISO 14001 initiative.
- Attend and participates in ISO committee meetings
- All other duties not listed above as deemed necessary by EHS Manager/Coordinator.
Qualifications:- High School diploma or GED required.
- Versatility and willingness to transfer into various departments when necessary.
- Clear and effective communication.
- Self-motivated
- Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings greatly desired.
- Forklift certification preferred or obtained within 30 days in role
Physical Demands:- Must be able to walk, climb, and lift at least 50 pounds, as well as other physical duties needed.
