We are seeking anNDEC Ecologist 2to join our Duluth, GA team! Come join us!

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Conduct literature review and interpret available data
Conduct natural resources survey in Georgia including identification and delineation of wetlands and streams and protected species and habitat assessment surveys
Compile and process field data and prepare reports
Working closely with project engineers, identify project effects on natural resources and investigate avoidance and minimization measures
Identify regulatory requirements and restrictions for various projects and ensure compliance
Prepare reports and applications to submit to Georgia Department of Transportation, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and Georgia Environmental Protection Division and obtain agency approvals

Requirements

Minimum requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Biology, Ecology, Forestry, Environmental Science, or related discipline
Strong technical report writing skills and written/verbal communication skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented with ability for critical thinking and problem solving
Ability to safely conduct field surveys in different weather conditions
Willingness to learn new skills and abilities and take initiatives
2+ years of professional experience, including ecological field surveys and documentation

Technical requirements:

Knowledge and understanding of the Clean Water Act and Endangered Species Act
Proficiency with Adobe, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Suite, and AutoCad/Civil3D
Strong communication and interpersonal skills required for coordination with the Project Management team
Must have a valid drivers license

Other miscellaneous qualities:

Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
