Position Title: Roll-Off/Tractor OperatorDepartment: DRIVERS/OPERATIONSReports to: ROUTE SUPERVISORPosition Summary:Collecting, transporting and delivery of hauling routes. Retrieving containers from various outside locations.
Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities:- Drive Roll-off truck
- DOT pre-and post-trip inspections, not limited to, checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls.
- Operation of company vehicles per DOT and company regulations
- Communication with Route Supervisor of Route Status and Customer Service Group
- Monitor gauges, dials and other indicators
- Fulfill assigned route pick-ups
- Manage route Loader
- Connect & disconnect airline controls
- Empty truck at established disposal sites
- Clean truck and trailer as needed
- Demonstrated ability to operate equipment safely in all weather conditions and working environments.
- Demonstrated knowledge of recycling commodity classifications and grades of paper and plastics.
- Demonstrated knowledge of commingled collection processes and allowable materials.
- Demonstrated knowledge of proper loading and transportation and shipping procedures for commodities.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule when necessary.
- Follow all company policies per Employee Handbook & Code of Conduct.
- Follow all company safety guidelines.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Hiring Requirements/PreferencesEDUCATION: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• CDL Class A with Air Brake Endorsements
• Minimum one (1) year CDL driving experience or 150,000 verifiable miles
• Possess a clean driving record.
• Must meet or exceed the medical standard of DOT, including passing a physical exam and drug test administered by a company approved facility
• Must be capable of performing all essential job functions including: lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and sitting for extended periods of time.
• As verified by a current MVR/driver abstract, must meet all qualifications as defined under DOT regulation 49 CFR 383.51
• Must meet PRATT Driver MVR Qualification Standards and pass Pratt background check.
• Experience in all four seasons of operations
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures.
• Must be able to complete and maintain driver log.
• Must have the ability to maintain and or identify equipment maintenance needs.
• Multi-task, interpersonal communication, problem solving, and time management skills are needed.
• Must be able to function in extreme temperatures.
• Strong work ethic
• Must pass DOT CDL medical certifications annually or as medically necessary.
• Professional Attitude & conduct

• High degree of safety awareness and safety discipline
• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times.
• Willing to travel and work away from home when and if required.

• Strictly adhere to safety requirements and the policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by PRATT Safety and OSHA.
• You will be expected to be flexible to the needs of our business, as we continually strive to meet and exceed the needs of our customers.
• Pre-employment, Random and Suspicion Drug tests are performed
• Be able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.
