Job DescriptionWater Resource Engineer - Looking for a change of pace or new opportunity in water resource engineering? Responsible for assisting with water resource engineering consulting services for a broad array of public and private clients. Projects and focus areas include green stormwater infrastructure, stream restoration, hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) calculations and modeling, erosion and sediment control, and construction inspection. Apply sound engineering principles and be able to communicate engineering issues and concepts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects.
- Participate in pre-task planning.
- Report safety issues or concerns to office management
- Maintain quality standards on all projects.
- Assist with the following services:
- Hydraulic analyses to determine pre- and post-project flooding conditions.
- Hydrologic runoff calculations and stormwater computer modeling.
- Site investigations, data collection, evaluations of existing facilities, infrastructure, and property to accurately model site conditions.
- Evaluations, alternative analyses, feasibility studies, and engineer's construction.
- Design calculations.
- Stream restoration or re-routing plans.
- Detailed design drawings, schematics, layouts and technical specifications.
Required Education and Experience- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- EIT required and ability to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania required.
- Active PE license in Pennsylvania preferred.
- 3-5 years of project management experience in water resource engineering.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Valid driver's license.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Strong technical writing skills.
- Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite programs, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other database software.
- Ability to utilize hydrology and hydraulics engineering computer software suites (i.e. HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HydroCAD, SWMM).
- Ability to communicate ideas and technical information accurately, clearly and concisely to management, staff, team members and clients.
- Ability to facilitate teamwork and work independently.
