JOB TITLE: Recycling Center Lead
LOCATION: Santa Barbara and Goleta
Full-Time/Non-Exempt, Starting Pay $19.00 - $25.00 per hour. We set our pay based on several factors including knowledge, experience, certification, and location. Combined with our rich competitive benefits package and the rewarding work we do for the environment, we make MarBorg a great workplace!POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for supervising the activities at the David Love and Santa Barbara buyback facility to ensure efficient operations. Responsibilities include the execution and delivery of Safety, Customer Experience, and Efficiency while supporting a culture of employee engagement.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following
: - Performs clerical and administrative work in receiving incoming phone calls, receiving the public, providing customer assistance by answering questions regarding Recycling center operations, securing the property and bookkeeping.
- Responsible for the daily operations of the recycling center scale house and related computer software for receiving CRV/ABOP material and customer billing.
- Schedules service for roll-off containers via software and coordinates with dispatcher and onsite team to pick up and receive commodities.
- Schedules pickup of commodities to market and coordinates with teams to expedite loading times.
- Assist in payroll administration by verifying and reporting hours worked, absences, and related timekeeping regarding Recycling center staff.
- Assists Supervisor in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Recycling Centers' Operations
- Maintains Recycling Centers fully staffed while maintaining a cross-training plan for emergencies and succession.
- Creates Work Pending requests and updates equipment hours through Dossier while keeping the shop notified of repairs.
- Computer paperwork for capturing information for booking # (pictures, documentation)
- Safety-oriented and actively looking to remove unsafe conditions or situations.
- Knowledge of acceptable and non-acceptable materials through Buy Back and ABOP programs.
- Full understanding of the handling of transport materials, e.g. Batteries/ Paints/ Light bulbs.
- Knowledge of Buy Back Pro software. Tracking money in dispensers, safes, and petty cash.
- Basic Microsoft Office Product knowledge, e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, and working with Windows environments.
- Ability to perform all tasks that are done by various employees at Buy Back centers.
- Resolves unusual service requests, equipment breakdowns, and schedule changes with timely communications to pertinent individuals.
- Serves as a positive representative of the Company to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty to the Company.
- Creates a collaborative, communicative team environment and drives employee engagement with the Company.
- Provides service to all customers that meet or exceed customer expectations concerning the entire customer experience.
- Troubleshoots cash dispenser, coin machine, and buyback pro software.
- Good verbal and written communication skills to interface between staff and customers.

EDUCATION: High school diploma or G.E.D
LANGUAGE SKILLS:The position requires excellent verbal and written English communication skills including the ability to read, comprehend, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Basic Spanish communication skills are desired.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
