As a
Chemical Engineer you will provide engineering expertise and chemical process knowledge to improve existing processes for high-quality production outcomes. Analyse and assist existing processes to improve quality and enhance the technical performance of our quartz products.
Responsibilities- Aid Process Engineering projects from idea to operational ramp-up by providing context from a commercial/customer perspective
- Provide input and suggestions to execute experiments and testing for process changes and customer evaluation material
- Conduct technical, operational, and/or project ad-hoc audits on a specific need basis, under the Sibelco Process Audit Guidelines
- Evaluate the minerals and materials processes and identify unnecessary complexities or flaws
- Support installation of control systems, sketching the more suitable philosophy control.
- Support Sibelco production sites and project teams to promote operational excellence, provide technical best practices, and ensure safe (HAS-compliant), efficient, effective innovative, scalable, and sustainable operations
- Advise other departments on how to maximize the efficiency of existing installations by suggesting improvements and bottlenecking
- Develop a detailed understanding of our customers' processes to assist in problem-solving and continuous improvement for both Sibelco and our customers.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering
- 2 - 5 years experience in an industrial environment
- English - advanced verbal and written
