As a Chemical Engineer you will provide engineering expertise and chemical process knowledge to improve existing processes for high-quality production outcomes. Analyse and assist existing processes to improve quality and enhance the technical performance of our quartz products.

Responsibilities

Aid Process Engineering projects from idea to operational ramp-up by providing context from a commercial/customer perspective
Provide input and suggestions to execute experiments and testing for process changes and customer evaluation material
Conduct technical, operational, and/or project ad-hoc audits on a specific need basis, under the Sibelco Process Audit Guidelines
Evaluate the minerals and materials processes and identify unnecessary complexities or flaws
Support installation of control systems, sketching the more suitable philosophy control.
Support Sibelco production sites and project teams to promote operational excellence, provide technical best practices, and ensure safe (HAS-compliant), efficient, effective innovative, scalable, and sustainable operations
Advise other departments on how to maximize the efficiency of existing installations by suggesting improvements and bottlenecking
Develop a detailed understanding of our customers' processes to assist in problem-solving and continuous improvement for both Sibelco and our customers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering
2 - 5 years experience in an industrial environment
English - advanced verbal and written
