The Department of Urologic Surgery at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, is recruiting for a full-time faculty member in the Professor of Clinical X series at the Assistant rank in Pediatric Urology. Faculty in the Clinical X series are expected to engage in professional competence and activity, teaching, research and creative work, and University/public service. The successful candidate will have strong clinical and surgical skills in the area of pediatric urology and preferably be a skilled robotic surgeon. Duties involve multi-disciplinary clinics that have been established to address some of the most complicated medical conditions such as disorders of sexual development (DSD), spina bifida, pediatric nephrolithiasis, cloacal anomaly, and congenital adrenal hyperplasia. In addition to pediatric urology care, the incumbent will be engaged in clinical research, teaching, and service activities. The candidate will have teaching responsibilities that include teaching and supervision of various learners such as medical students, residents, fellows, and PA/NP students. Participation in appropriate professional societies and educational organizations is expected as well as providing service to department and school committees to fulfil University/public service, scholarly and creative activity achievements. The incumbent must foster collegiality and work collaboratively in a diverse environment that fosters team science and multi-disciplinary patient care, adhere to University policies and procedures and be sensitive to the needs of patients from diverse backgrounds. This recruitment is conducted at the assistant rank. The resulting hire will be at the assistant rank, regardless of the proposed appointee's qualifications. A reasonable salary estimate for this position is $320,000 - $430,000. QUALIFICATIONS Candidates must possess or be eligible for the following: M.D., M.D./Ph.D., D.O. or equivalent degree Board certification/eligibility in Urology and Pediatric Urology Eligible for full and unrestricted medical licensure in the State of California Strong clinical and surgical skills in pediatric urology Evidence of teaching experience in a diverse environment Demonstrated evidence of professional and/or scholarly achievement and activity Evidence of publications of scholarly work in medical literature The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate that they are legally authorized to work in the United States.
