Airswift has been tasked by one of our major Oil & Gas clients to seek a Petroleum Engineer/Well Management Engineer to work on an initial 12-month contract in Houston, TX - possibly to extended after this period. Responsibilities: - Design, plan, and provide engineering execution support to well work operations post-completion, inclusive of drill outs, remedial workovers, and plug and abandonment scope
- Liaise with Production Engineering to provide cost & scope for opportunity evaluation
- Develop procedures and provide design input to artificial lift systems
- Interface with Operations for rig scheduling, execution support, and troubleshooting
- Liaise with specialist contractors & suppliers for cost and equipment readiness
- Monitor daily progress of well work operations, track daily costs, and recommend cost-effective changes where necessary; travel to company designated sites when necessary
- Support well work spend forecasting and budget preparation
- Track, analyze, and continually improve well work execution efficiency; manage contractor performance; steward
- Well view data quality
Qualification: - Bachelor of Science from accredited university in engineering required
- Minimum of 5 years O&G experience; 3+ yrs direct well work experience (Permian preferred)
- Must be self-motivated and capable of integrating within multi-discipline teams
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be willing to travel to well locations to oversee operations when necessary
- Proficient in MS Office suite (excel, word, PowerPoint) and Well view; Spotfire, PowerBI, or other analytics exposure preferred
