Pacific Coast Producers (PCP), a dynamic and growing agricultural cooperative with food production facilities across the West Coast, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team at our cherry processing facilities in The Dalles, OR. Our two state-of-the-art facilities in The Dalles, OR are equipped with advanced sorting and pitting technology, enabling us to process large volumes of cherries efficiently while upholding the highest quality standards. These facilities are vital to the Pacific Northwest's agricultural landscape and play a key role in delivering high-quality cherry products to consumers worldwide. The EHS Specialist will play a key role in promoting a safe, compliant and sustainable workplace. This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs to ensure the well-being of employees and adherence to regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Promote EHS awareness by modeling safe behaviors, staying informed on industry trends, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Develop and maintain EHS procedures that meet company standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance, recommending corrective actions as needed. Collaborate with staff to quickly address safety risks and hazardous conditions. Serve as the primary contact for external stakeholders on EHS matters. Support environmental compliance, including NPDES, PSM, RMP, and hazardous materials management. Investigate incidents, manage Workers’ Compensation claims, and implement corrective actions. Prepare EHS reports for management. Deliver EHS training and participate in safety meetings. Lead emergency evacuation drills and safety exercises. Assist with additional EHS-related duties as needed. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Previous manufacturing experience Preferred Requirements: Experience in the food and/or beverage industry Knowledge of both environmental and safety compliance. Experience with PSM and RMP.
