Role description: Arcadis is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Enviro Socio Permitting team to support and group our expanding business in the Western U.S. across a range of sectors, including linear utilities, oil and gas, mining and renewable energies. The successful candidate be engaged in both client development, through the management and growth of new and existing client relationships, and in project delivery. The position will require a candidate to work collaboratively with a diverse team and have the capacity to balance varying priorities. A successful candidate can expect to work remotely and from the office, as needed, based on demands of project and client teams. Periodic travel will be required (10-15%). You will also work to closely with existing team members to support the growth of the Enviro Socio Permitting practice. Your career growth will only be limited by your skills and your passion for success Role accountabilities: As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead diverse teams of scientist, engineers, and planners to successfully execute environmental permitting projects for mining, renewable energy, oil and gas, and linear utilities. You will lead project teams in developing permitting strategies, and coordinate with clients to ensure successful project outcomes. Therefore, it is expected that you have demonstrated experience with state and federal laws and regulations, including the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act, and the National Environmental Policy Act; and experience working with the Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Forest Service. Additionally, you will provide senior level quality assurance/quality control for client deliverables, including agency consultations and permit applications. In this role, you will also be involved in supporting and/or managing the growth of new and existing client relationships in conjunction with business development leaders and account leaders. This will include leveraging existing client relationships, supporting client account teams, and leading pursuits and proposal opportunities, including scope and cost development. Qualifications & Experience: First and foremost, do you share our passion for improving the quality of life? If you are technically capable, and have experience in field surveys and environmental permitting, come join us Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, or similar environmental discipline. 10 years of experience managing environmental permitting projects in the western United States in the environmental consulting industry. Experience preparing environmental documents and reports, including technical reports, National Environmental Policy Act documents, permit applications, and similar. Experience leading teams and working in collaboration with scientists, engineers, archaeologists, and other specialists in developing environmental documents for environmental projects. Experience working with the U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Bureau of Land Management, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and western state agencies. Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Management, Natural Sciences or related field Proven project manager who is schedule-driven, with experience estimating and managing costs and delivery of environmental planning projects. Experience supporting and/or managing client development including identifying opportunities, developing and maintaining client relationships, and leading proposal development including the preparation of scope of work and project budgets.
