Environmental Engineer: VVater is a US-based, next-generation water treatment company that aims to provide Water for All Humankind with a cornerstone of sustainability and a promise of a better, healthier tomorrow. Our Environmental Engineer leads projects involving remediation, waste programs, facility compliance, permitting, and other environmental activities. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, conduct environmental impact assessments, and strive to balance human development and ecological preservation. Responsibilities are: Manage large and complex projects and provide technical leadership to ensure internal and external expectations are met for scope, budget, schedule, and quality. Perform engineering calculations and interpret data, conduct analyses, and compare findings to regulations to ensure compliance with permits and regulations. Prepare regulatory applicability assessments and permit applications and negotiate proposed permits. Manage and perform environmental compliance tasks, including SPCC plans, stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP), and permitting; NPDES/TPDES and RCRA compliance, permit applications, and renewals, and hazardous waste-related projects. Prepare technical correspondence, project proposals, reports, work plans, specifications, cost estimates, and project budgets. Review and evaluate hydrogeological designs, proposals, preliminary engineering, and other reports. Expand and develop new client relationships by cross-selling the company’s multiple service lines and presenting compelling project solutions to increase client portfolio. Oversee fieldwork activities, including planning work, developing work plans, and coordinating with subcontractors and clients. Build and strengthen team and staff through engagement and mentorship. Communicate with clients and coordinate with regulatory agencies on behalf of clients. Serve as a trusted advisor by providing innovative, unique client-based solutions. Contribute positively to health, safety, environmental, and quality programs by performing work safely and adhering to all safety standards and protocols. Requirements are: A Professional Engineer (P.E.) is required. Knowledge of environmental regulations (SPCC, SWPPP, NPDES/TPDES, TRRP, TCEQ (A must), RRC, NMED/OCD, OKDEQ, RCRA, etc.). A minimum of 5 years of Environmental project experience working with large facilities, with demonstrated field experience in directing subcontractors. Experience with stormwater calculations, design, and permitting. Experience in DPR design, applications, research, and permits Experience with RCRA projects, including waste programs and site closures. Experience with all phases of TCEQ permits, projects, legislation, and risk management systems. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including independently generating high-quality deliverables and technical reports. Proficient with MS Office Suites (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and familiarity with various management systems. Proficient with Autodesk Suite, in particular, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Primavera, MS Projects, SolidWorks, ArcGIS Working knowledge of health and safety practices.
