Cleveland Clinic's Environmental Services Department is consistently among the highest-performing EVS teams in healthcare, and we are looking to add a Senior Manager to our team to create the comfortable and safe environment our patients have come to expect. A caregiver in this position works days, from 7:00am-5:00pm. A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Manage the daily operations of the Environmental Services Department, Laundry, Patient Transportation, Food and Nutrition and Storeroom to ensure the best environment of care and patient support services are provided to all patients and caregivers.
- Supervise managers and other leaders to develop and implement operational goals and objectives consistent with the mission and strategic plan of the hospital
- Oversee patient support services of environmental services and laundry, patient transport, food and nutrition and storeroom operations.
- Take responsibility for budgets and financial performance of assigned departments.
- Establish priorities of work for assigned departments.
- Analyze staffing patterns and competencies of assigned caregivers.
- Monitor and evaluate caregiver performance; develop and implement training as required.
- Review and select products and equipment to ensure compliance with facility specifications.
- Monitor department activities and performance to ensure compliance with health department and other regulatory agencies (Joint Commission, CMS, NFPA, OSHA, etc.)
- Collaborate with other department managers to synchronize work efforts to meet organization requirements.
- Serve as member of Environment of Care, Emergency management and patient Safety Committees.
- Establish plans of performance improvement and ensure that a continuous improvement approach is implemented to measure actual performance against established standards.
- Establish mechanisms to encourage innovation and to incorporate best practice findings into standards of practice, policies, and procedures.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business, or related field.
- Master's degree may offset two years of required experience.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and eight years of professional experience including four years of progressively responsible management experience.
- Four years of hospitality or housekeeping experience, including at least two years of demonstrated progressively responsible management experience.

Physical Requirements:- Dexterity sufficient to perform all tasks as listed below.
- Ability to lift materials weighing between 35-50 lbs.
- Ability to perform duties while walking, standing, stooping and lifting.
