We are seeking an experienced Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Project Manager to lead and coordinate energy-saving and sustainability initiatives within our organization. As the Energy Efficiency Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in promoting sustainability, reducing energy consumption, and implementing efficient practices.
Responsibilities
• Acts as the champion of sustainability within Windstar Cruises, promulgating a culture of energy efficiency within the company and aboard the fleet.
• Develops the strategy to maintain fleet compliance with current and future sustainability regulations including ship's carbon intensity indicator ratings, EU fuel maritime requirements and IMO greenhouse gas emissions net zero goals.
• Reports to Senior Management on all aspects of energy saving/fuel saving activities and sustainability regulations compliance.
• Manage and oversee energy/fuel saving, and sustainability projects from planning to execution.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
• Develops and manages assigned project Capital and R&M budgets.
• Monitor and analyze ship energy and fuel saving data/performance and provides feedback and direction to ship's senior management for the fleet.
• Visits ships on a regular basis in support of efficiency performance and project goals.
• Oversees the work of the Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Data Analyst.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in energy efficiency
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Environmental Science, or related field. Professional Engineer (PE) or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager in the maritime or energy sector.
• Strong knowledge of energy efficiency principles and technologies
• Experience with renewable energy projects.
• Good communication (oral and written) and English language skills.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and interact with people at all levels.
• Good planning and organizational skills.
• An ability to develop creative and effective solutions to problems.
• Financial/budget experience and understanding.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Proficiency in AMOS is a plus.
• Ability to travel 10% of the time, possibly more dependent on projects.
