Entry to Mid-Level Water Resources Engineer - Laramie or Cheyenne, WY
Trihydro Corporation is seeking an entry-to-mid-level water resource engineer to join its Infrastructure and Natural Resources Business Unit. As a member of our team, you will assist with evaluating and developing surface and groundwater resources that support agricultural, municipal, and industrial water supplies; flood control and floodplain management; dam design; and environmental uses. You will have responsibilities such as performing technical research, design calculations, data analysis, geomorphological assessments, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, field data collection, as well as drafting figures and preparing construction plan sets and specifications, technical memorandums and reports, permit applications, and developing cost estimates.
Location
This position would be based out of our Corporate Headquarters located in Laramie, WY or our Cheyenne, WY branch office.
Position Qualifications
- 0-5+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, water resources engineering, environmental engineering, natural resources, or related field (master's degree preferred)
- Degree coursework focused on hydrology/hydraulics
- Engineer-in-training (E.I.T.) or plans to obtain E.I.T. within 6 months
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) or plans to obtain P.E. in the future
- AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience preferred, but not required
- Proficiency with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SewerGems, GIS, or other hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software is preferred, but not required
- Strong initiative to complete tasks and motivation to learn
- Ability to produce high-quality deliverables using attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to handle assignments and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- A history of positive team interactions and an ability to work well with others
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to travel to client locations and other Trihydro offices
- Acceptable driving record
- Commitment to a safe workplace
