We organize over 500 large-scale branded and transaction-oriented events in 14 specialist markets. These are typically not-to-be-missed annual events where buyers and sellers build relationships, see and show products and do business. Job Description Are you the Senior Business Development Manager we've been looking for? You will join a successful conference team and sell sponsorship packages internationally and strengthen our EV Infrastructure Solar & Renewable Energy Revenues events portfolio. We work across a diverse portfolio of events in the USA and Europe. Our key goal is to collaborate with our customers to help their businesses thrive and create a sustainable future on a global scale. Role Accountability and Duties : Close and repeat high-value business at conferences Maximizing revenue through sponsorship sales Developing relationships with decision-makers to create new opportunities and build accounts Identifying and securing new customers with major account potential Achieving and exceeding KPIs and monthly sales targets Managing a sales pipeline document for reporting purposes Forecasting business accurately on a weekly and monthly basis Gathering product and company feedback from clients and prospects What you bring to the team : A solid and proven background in (ideally conference) sales, minimum 3-5 years Proven track record of winning new business and successfully managing the accounts of existing clients Able to sell on concept and provide a consultative sales approach with an excellent telephone manner Integrity is key; our products are market-leading, and you should be too Smart, ambitious, committed and actively focused on self-improvement Enjoy being challenged and engaged in a KPI driven environment where a good percentage of your total earnings are performance-based A genuine interest in and desire to contribute to the world's evolving energy future, in which, we believe renewables and clean energy have a vital and rapidly growing role Able to travel globally to events and pitch in person existing and new business opportunities Identify new product or event ideas to senior management Qualifications What you bring to the team: A solid and proven background in sales, minimum 4-5 years (conference sales preferably) Proven track record of winning new business and successfully account managing existing clients Able to sell on concept and provide a consultative sales approach with an excellent telephone manner Integrity is key; our products are market-leading, and you should be too Smart, ambitious, committed and actively focused on self-improvement Enjoy being challenged and engaged in a KPI driven environment where a good percentage of your total earnings are performance based Ideally you will have a genuine interest in and desire to contribute to the world's evolving energy future, in which, we believe renewables and clean energy have a vital and rapidly growing role Able to travel globally to events and pitch in person existing and new business opportunities Identify new product or event ideas to senior management The pay range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000 depending on experience, plus commission This posting will expire on 11/28 Desirable, but not essential Experience with CRM (Salesforce) Excellent closer of business Language skills Market knowledge (EV, Solar, Energy Storage) The ability to work remotely and self-motivated Additional Information We work hard to make sure Life at Informa is rewarding, supportive and enjoyable for everyone.
