Responsibilities- Monitor and analyze federal, state, and international environmental regulations, standards, and trends related to Hazardous substances / Refrigerant / Pesticide / Other Chemicals.
- Collaborate with global teams to implement and maintain compliance programs for Hazardous substances / Refrigerant / Pesticide / Other Chemicals across different regions.
- Represent LG Electronics (LGE) in industry associations and working groups, contributing to the development of industry standards and policies.
- Participate in rulemaking processes with government agencies, industry associations.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of required information to regulatory authorities.
- Provide monthly updates to HQ on the implementation of Hazardous substances / Refrigerant / Pesticide / Other Chemical regulations, including government and industry activities.
- Manage and respond to regulatory inquiries and enforcement actions from government agencies.
- Research and implement sustainable practices across product design, materials, and end-of-life management to meet environmental goals.
- Perform timely registration and renewals for FIFRA regulated products.
- Work to resolve any regulatory issues, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed of changes and updates to Hazardous substances / Refrigerant / Pesticide / Other Chemical regulations.
Qualifications- BS degree in chemical engineering and/or Environmental policy related majors required; MS degree preferred.
- 7+ years' experience in related field preferred.
- Organizational Skills with the ability to work in a cross-functional and fast-paced team.
- Must have strong communication, influencing and executional skills, and a desire to work in a complex and challenging fast- paced environment.
