Job Summary Support the operations team by leading the renewable site to assure the facility operates in accordance with Safety, Health and Environmental policies and standards while achieving maximum performance, reliability, and profitability.
Responsible for the operation and maintenance of renewable generation equipment to achieve safe, efficient, and environmentally sound plant operations. Assist in coordinating and performing duties related to OEM and contractor oversight, equipment inspections, monitoring, and repairs, including operation and maintenance of solar PV collection assemblies, battery energy storage, AD/DC inverters on multiple solar power plants, and other renewable generation equipment.
Job Description**Position is posted in a range; Pay, title and grade will be based on the qualifications of the individual selected**- Performs corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance and operations for which they are qualified to perform for equipment safely and efficiently.
- Provides balance of plant activities including inspections, maintenance and repair of both equipment and roads.
- Assists with site vegetation mitigation plans including running tractors, riding mowers, and other vegetation maintenance equipment.
- Assist in using elementary, schematic, wiring and control diagrams to locate, troubleshoot and repair control systems involving electrical, electronic, and mechanical components.
- Initiate clearance permits/LOTO, isolate equipment and remove all stored energy in accordance with procedure. Initiate permits in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Assist in counting/finding warehouse inventory and parts.
- Use computer applications and software programs to extract data, analyze trends and report status to ensure plant reliability and efficiency. Produce, revise, and maintain records, technical reports, procedures, and plant drawings.
Basic Qualifications:High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) is required.Associate degree in related technical field (e.g., electronics, engineering technology) or equivalent Journeyman qualifications is required.
- Electrical experience working on/near various voltages ranging from 24V to 34.5kV and working knowledge of voltages above34.5kV recommended.
- Demonstrated knowledge of electrical or mechanical fundamentals(single craft journeyman skills) such as electrical measurements, control circuits, and solid-state theory application.
