Description We are seeking an Environmental Regulatory & Compliance Project Manager with significant consulting experience to manage a variety of projects that includes multi-media environmental compliance audits, environmental site assessments, mitigation measure development and implementation, and permit application development.
- Develop and implement strategic business/action plans, provide leadership, and deliver performance results to expand Burns & McDonnell's client base, with a focus on Environmental Regulatory & Compliance services.
- Maintain strong client relationships, acting as a primary point of contact for EHS compliance projects and regulatory matters
- Prepare summaries of regulations and determine the applicability to a client's operations.
- Interpret and apply regulatory requirements, guiding clients in implementing site-specific compliance solutions
- Perform site audits, incident investigations and audits in support of other company and client initiatives.
- Oversee and lead environmental site assessments.
- Develop and lead compliance training sessions for client personnel on regulatory requirements, hazardous materials handling, and environmental risk mitigation.
- Complete permit application forms for water and waste permits.
- Conduct groundwater and surface water sampling events in support of regulatory projects.
- Conduct environmental compliance audits, prepare permitting applications, and analyze environmental data for various types of projects, including renewable projects, food and consumer products and aerospace manufacturing, high-voltage transmission line routing, oil and gas facilities, petrochemical manufacturing plants, power generation facilities, as well as for construction and post-construction, and water treatment facilities.
- Environmental compliance audits; stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) preparation and Best Management Practices (BMP) inspections, environmental site assessments; including report and permit writing.
- Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies
- Develop and implement compliance tools and regulatory requirement tracking tools.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with regulatory agencies to support negotiations on compliance criteria strategies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field from an accredited program.
- A minimum of 7 years of environmental compliance experience required. Master's degree in related field may be substituted for one year of experience.
- Previous consulting experience
- ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems Lead Auditor Certification, or experience/ability to obtain within six months.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office are required.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Strong marketing/business development skills
- Ability to work within a Team framework
- Significant report writing experience
