As a Power Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our AR device's power systems.
In this role, the primary responsibility of the individual will be to work closely with hardware design engineers in testing, troubleshooting, deploying, maintaining, and supporting the AR platform.
You will conduct analyses to identify, troubleshoot, diagnose, and/or debug power-related technical issues. You may work on multiple issues at any point in time, so systematic tracking and updating of status is expected. The environment is fast-paced and requires cross-functional interaction daily. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive testing of power components for the AR device, including voltage regulators, power management ICs, and battery systems.
- Perform power validation tests at a component level and across various operational scenarios to ensure reliability and performance.
- Collaborate closely with hardware design engineers to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve power-related technical issues.
- Generate detailed test reports documenting test procedures, results, and recommendations for improvement.
- Utilize test equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and electronic loads to perform tests accurately and efficiently.
- Develop and execute test plans and procedures to validate power requirements and specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate power components into the AR device and ensure seamless operation.
- Assist in the development of automated test scripts and tools for efficient testing and validation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper handling and storage of sensitive electronic components.
- Should be proficient in reworking and soldering small electronic components like resistors, capacitors, inductors, jumper wires, etc., employing conventional lab techniques with precision and cleanliness.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in testing electronic components and systems, preferably in a hardware testing or validation role.
- Proficient in using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and electronic loads.
- Familiarity with power management ICs, voltage regulators, and battery systems is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meticulously document test procedures and results.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with automated testing tools and scripting languages is a plus.

The annual salary range for this role is $80,000 - $250,000 per year. The Annual Salary depends upon various job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, and market demand. This range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
