United States (Remote)The Energy Efficiency Manager develops and implements strategies to minimize energy waste and optimize energy efficiency within the organization. This role involves identifying energy-saving opportunities, analyzing energy consumption patterns, and leading initiatives to reduce energy waste. The Energy Efficiency Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams, monitors energy performance, and provides recommendations to enhance energy efficiency practices. The role requires a strong understanding of energy management principles, technological advancements, and sustainability practices.
This position will travel to complete projects at various sites. Travel expected to be up to 50%. Job Duties- Conduct thorough energy audits and assessments to identify areas of energy waste and inefficiency; analyze energy consumption patterns, identify trends, and benchmark energy performance against industry standards
- Develop and implement comprehensive energy conservation strategies and programs to reduce energy waste across all areas of the organization; collaborate with stakeholders to set energy-saving goals, targets, and key performance indicators (KPIs); identify and prioritize energy-saving opportunities, considering financial viability, operational impact, and environmental benefits
- Lead and manage energy efficiency projects from inception to completion; conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and risk assessments for proposed energy-saving initiatives; coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and external vendors to implement energy-efficient technologies, systems, and practices
- Establish monitoring systems to track energy consumption, identify deviations, and evaluate the effectiveness of energy-saving measures; prepare regular reports and presentations on energy performance, savings achieved, and progress towards goals; identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions to optimize energy efficiency
- Collaborate with various departments, including operations, facilities, engineering, and sustainability, to foster a culture of energy conservation; provide guidance and training to employees on energy-saving practices, behavior changes, and best practices in energy management
- Stay updated on relevant energy regulations, codes, and standards; ensure compliance with energy-related legal requirements and reporting obligations; provide expertise and guidance on energy-related regulations and participate in relevant audits and inspections
Qualifications- Requires Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, sustainability, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in energy management, energy efficiency, or related roles.
- Familiarity with energy auditing techniques and tools.
- Proficient in data analysis and energy management software.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Understanding of sustainability principles and environmental regulations.
- The Energy Efficiency Manager requires four (4) to six (6) years of experience in energy management, including conducting audits, developing strategies, managing efficiency projects, analyzing data, and collaborating with stakeholders in order to reduce energy waste and improve overall energy efficiency.
