Job Summary:Our World Energy is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive
Final Inspection/PTO Manager to oversee and coordinate final inspections and Permission to Operate (PTO) processes for solar installations. This role is crucial for ensuring all installations meet regulatory standards, are compliant with relevant inspection criteria, and adhere to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will work closely with project stakeholders, manage inspection schedules, and facilitate communication with customers. Job Responsibilities:Site Visits and Support:- Attend site visits as required, supporting the Project Managers, customers, and subcontractors to ensure on-site needs are met.
- Travel to inspection sites when needed to facilitate successful inspection completion.
- Schedule and coordinate all pre-final and final inspections, including trench inspections, HOA reviews, and historical/escarpment inspections, with local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
- Communicate inspection timelines and statuses with customers, Project Managers, and subcontractors, maintaining a transparent flow of information.
Logistics and Errands:- Deliver and pick up ladders for inspections, ensure permits are delivered to the site as required.
- Coordinate with HOAs for necessary signage and run errands to ensure sites are prepared for inspection.
Process and Workflow Management:- Manage PTO processes and Disco/Reco functions, ensuring all installations meet the necessary criteria for final commissioning and operation.
- Document inspection outcomes, track inspection statuses, and provide weekly reports on inspection outcomes, corrections, and button-ups.
Operational Improvement:- Update and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inspections to increase efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with branch management, installation, and design teams to streamline processes and enhance deployment workflows.
Customer Communication:- Serve as a point of contact for customers on inspection status, relaying information provided by the Branch Manager and addressing questions in a timely, customer-focused manner.
Additional Responsibilities:- Perform additional duties as assigned by Branch Managers, including minor corrections, task support post-installation, and other operational needs.
Candidate Qualifications:- Minimum of 2 years experience in permitting, inspections, compliance, or a related field.
- Administrative process management experience is strongly preferred.
- Background in solar, construction, permitting, field installation, or inspections is strongly preferred.
Required Technical Skills:- Proficiency in computer applications, with strong navigation skills across multiple software platforms.
- Knowledge of solar PV systems or willingness to learn.
