CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Physical Design Engineer to join our Power & Manufacturing - Electric Substation Team at our office in Reading, PA; Tampa FL; or Syracuse, NY . Our expertise extends to various insulation mediums, including air, gas, liquid, or solid, catering to transmission, distribution, and generation needs. We seamlessly handle AC/DC conversion across diverse applications, from traditional fossil fuels to cutting-edge renewable energy projects, and our proficiency extends to working with electrical-mechanical systems, seamlessly transitioning from legacy to intelligent protection and control systems. The Senior Physical Design Engineer conducts the design development, implementation, and technical analysis of various systems to implement new products, or changes to an existing scheme, to suit individual client needs. The professional in this role works on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual and company requirements. At CHA, our Senior Physical Design Engineer monitors progress and performance against the project plan and acts immediately to resolve operational problems and minimize delays, as well as recognizes technical discrepancies in analytical results, and makes appropriate corrections. This individual identifies, develops, and gathers technical resources necessary to complete assignments. The Senior Physical Design Engineer completes field assignments when appropriate. Find your "why" at CHA REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is required Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred Minimum of 3 years of related engineering experience is required Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of the respective engineering field as well as proven ability to practically apply it in a professional environment Proficient in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) Understands QA/QC procedures Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with the willingness to assist more senior staff Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required Participation in a professional engineering society/organization is preferred SALARY RANGE: $85,000 - $99,000 Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
