General Description: The Project Developer will provide project management assistance and task management supporting the development of renewable energy (wind and solar) projects from site identification through construction. This is a fast-paced and multi-faceted role facing multiple internal and external stakeholders and provides immediate exposure to commercial matters. Main accountabilities: Identify and organize the development of wind and solar projects by creating and updating project maps and databases using GIS tools Represent EDPRNA in the field, working with Project Managers and landowners to create and amend agreements, options, leases, and land sales Assist with community outreach and other stakeholder management activities Conduct land, market, regulatory, and related project research Compile documentation, attend meetings, conduct necessary studies, and perform other tasks as needed to obtain permits for solar projects at the local, state, and federal level Assist with efforts to secure transmission and interconnection rights from utilities and transmission providers Participate in the preparation of proposals that are submitted to power purchasers including utilities, community choice aggregators, and commercial & industrial customers Support internal reporting and project tracking efforts Additional duties as required Direct reports: None Travel: up to 65% Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field 1 - 2 years of progressively responsible project management or development experience in energy or a related industry Strong knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS and Google Earth software preferred Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software with strong Excel skills Behavioral requirements: Strong organizational and time-management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills Ability to work productively with limited supervision Strong interest in renewable energy Ability and willingness to travel and work overtime as needed Physical demands & working conditions: Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment Speech/Reading: Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary J-18808-Ljbffr
