Position Summary The primary responsibility of this position is to provide engineering development and support on small to medium-sized projects and/or individual components of larger more complex projects. LOCATION Role provides the opportunity to work in hybrid environment, working both virtually and in office (NE Houston) when required. Duties & Responsibilities ESSENTIAL Perform conceptual design work, engineering calculations, and interpret analysis results. Prepare and check manufacturing drawings. Interface with customers and other project managers (both internal & external) and provide engineering status and progress reports. Write and/or review technical proposals, equipment evaluations, and procurement specifications. Prepare technical procedures (factory acceptance test, load test, etc.) and technical specifications (scope of supply, master document list, design specification, etc.). Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, applicable standards (ISO, API and ANSI), contract requirements and related specifications. Perform design reviews and presentations with internal and external customers. Delegate assignments of various portions to supporting team members (Designers, Analysts, Technicians, etc.). Conduct on site product testing (common) and offshore field operations (rare) of hardware as needed. Work cooperatively with a team to complete assignments and achieve goals in group settings. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications REQUIRED Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering (or related engineering discipline). Minimum 3 years of engineering experience - Energy or Manufacturing experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications. Working knowledge of Solidworks and Enovia or similar Product Life Management (PLM) system - formal classes or 1 year experience. Good working knowledge of Engineering Fundamentals, including structures, pressure vessel design and stress calculations - formal classes or 1 year experience. DESIRED Working Knowledge of Primavera, MathCad, Fluency in Excel, PE or FE certification. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS Ability to work in a team environment, remaining attentive to ideas, recognizing responsibilities, and actively participating with others to accomplish assignments and achieve desired goals. Additional Information This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
