The position will act as the Tarkett North American (TNA) procurement lead sourcing analyst and will report into the Senior Director of Procurement, Raw materials. This is a strategic position that utilizes data mining, big data, analytics, data science, and visualization tools to generate unique and creative points of view that help advance a holistic and statistically driven view of market dynamics (Through the lens of total delivered costs). Responsibilities Scope of responsibilities will focus on strategic categories within Direct Materials. Focus will be on building advanced analytics that enable enhanced procurement decisions. Advance the utilization of visual tools such as Power BI. Utilize data mining and finding, developing relevant data sets to understand key markets. Develop technology road maps that will be utilized to gain a competitive advantage. Create or improve models that quantify optionality and risk-adjusted economics. Provide market-based facts, data, insights, and options supporting category strategies. Work with Category Managers to challenge and improve upon their vision, supply market POV, and strategies. Participate in negotiation and supplier relationship management (SRM) sessions to gain additional insights and understanding on key market and business drivers. Model supply chain material flow in a way that allows for benchmarking and best-in-class assessments (Internal and external standard comparison). Work with Operations, R&D, quality, and supply chain to model, quantify, and assess current state demand specifications and requirements. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. 3 years in Economics, Data Science, Business, Supply Chain, Marketing, or Engineering. Strong inquisitive nature in how business markets work (Porter’s 5 Forces). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong understanding of data systems. Experience in data mining, analytics, visual tools. Ability to self-navigate organizational and technical challenges. Execute ad hoc reports, insights, and conclusions. Act as SME across data sources. Excellent written and oral communications skills. Preferred Qualifications Entrepreneurial and self-starter mindset. High degree of critical and economic thinking.
