We are currently seeking to add an Environmental Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Bend, Oregon. Our Bend Environmental group handles a diverse workload consisting of remedial investigations/feasibility studies (RI/FS), Phase I and II due diligence, stormwater monitoring and compliance, landfill monitoring, and site remediation and cleanup projects. This position involves project and technical task management; design and oversight for soil and groundwater remediation systems; work plan preparation and general consulting for multi-media environmental compliance projects. The ability to work with multiple contractor teams, serve as a project manager, and interface with regulatory agencies are key elements for this position. We seek a self-starter with a solid foundation of technical knowledge and a willingness to solve complex problems with appropriate mentorship and training. QUALIFICATIONS Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or Environmental Engineering. 5 to 10 years of experience in environmental consulting with a focus on site investigation, environmental remediation, and due diligence projects. 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate (with current 8-hour annual refresher course certification) or willingness to obtain. Exceptional interpersonal skills allowing for positive internal, client, and contractor relationships. Knowledge of Oregon State and Federal environmental regulations. Valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record. Proven well-developed technical writing skills for delivery of project reports, including Phase I ESA, Phase II ESA, Remedial Investigation, Feasibility Study and Corrective Action Work Plans. Self-motivated to set appropriate priorities and effectively manage their time to support the success of their team. Shows ability to listen and seeks to understand viewpoints of others. Desirable Qualifications Professional licensed Geologist (LG) or Engineer (PE) in Oregon. Experience with regulatory compliance on a state and federal level and/or out of state is considered. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Manage large and complex tasks to ensure internal and external expectations are met for scope, budget, schedule, and quality. Plan and coordinate environmental assessments, remediation, and compliance projects in the field and office. Develop scope and fee proposals and communicate directly with client on implementation. Liaison with regulatory agencies in support of our client's goals. Perform a variety of field work tasks including environmental assessments, soil, vapor, and groundwater sampling, site investigations, stormwater sampling, feasibility tests, remedial implementation, and subcontractor oversight. Interpret geological, hydrogeological, and chemical data. Prepare and deliver technical reports (e.g. phase I ESAs, site characterization, work plans, remedial investigation, feasibility study and other reports) in support of environmental assessment, investigation, and remediation projects.
