COLORADO PARKS AND WILDLIFE (CPW)

Description of Job Primary duties will include the day-to-day supervision of 3 individual creel clerks tasked with completing angler surveys (creels) on Cherry Creek Reservoir, Chatfield Reservoir, and Estes Lake.
- The position will also coordinate and oversee multiple passive creel surveys utilizing trail cameras.
- This position will be responsible for creel clerk hiring and training, the creel schedule, boat safety training, equipment organization, OIT consultation, vehicle acquisition and maintenance, and providing support for creel clerk duties as necessary.
- The successful candidate will also enter data, analyze data, and summarize findings in a formal report. Some weekend work will be required. Successful applicants must have a valid driver's license and a good driving history.
- A state vehicle will be provided while working.
- A smaller component of this position will assist permanent aquatic biologists with spawning operations, stream electrofishing surveys, and lake and reservoir surveys.
- A typical work week will consist of 40 hours, and Boating and trailer experience is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights BASIC REQUIREMENTS:- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and:
- Must have a current and valid driver's license,
- Must be willing and able to work outside, which may involve inclement weather,
- Must be willing and able to work 40 hours per week,
- Must be willing to work weekends and holidays, and 10-hour plus days will be required.
- Preference may be given to applicants with or working towards a Natural Resources degree or similar education.
- Previous experience with fish identification, sampling, angling, and/or public relations is preferred.
