Position Summary: Tetra Tech is seeking candidates for the position of Energy Engineer to support our energy conservation and sustainability business practices. Qualified candidates will have a mix of technical, interpersonal, and communication skills. This position requires independent problem solving while working as part of larger project teams. The successful candidate will conduct impact evaluations of energy efficiency projects and use data management and analysis skills to apply the results. Your Role: Perform energy consumption calculations for residential, commercial, public, and industrial systems. Plan and support measurement and verification or field investigation activities. Review energy efficiency and renewable energy calculations and assumptions. Report results and recommendations. Analyze data using engineering and statistical software programs. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering. 2 years’ experience related to facility energy consumption energy, resource conservation, or sustainability practices preferred. Familiarity with energy efficiency codes and equipment efficiency standards preferred. Building auditing and energy modeling experience. Advanced Excel skills, including regression analysis. Programming knowledge (Python or R). Starting Annual Salary: $65,000-$85,000. Line management responsibility: No current. Physical demands & work environment: Hybrid office environment (3 days in-office/2 days remote). Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer monitor, computer mouse, calculator, and computer printer. Able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
