Responsible, result-oriented individual needed who can work as part of a team and is able to work at times without direct supervision. Individual must be able to effectively prioritize tasks and positively interact with the public. Duties include assisting with the daily operation and maintenance of park facilities, equipment, and grounds to include custodial duties of restrooms and picnic areas. Daily responsibilities include a variety of tasks, which change according to the day of the week, park visitation, seasonality, and special events. Other tasks may include trail work, carpentry, vehicle and equipment maintenance, assisting with interpretive programs, and natural resource management projects. Applicants must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds unassisted and work in outdoor conditions. Previous operation of commercial mowers, chainsaws, or tractors and knowledge of basic carpentry, small engine repair, plumbing, electrical, and masonry is not required but preferred. Special Requirements: May be required to perform other duties on a non-recurring basis. A valid driver’s license is required. Variable work schedule to frequently include weekends and holidays is required. Must be willing to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
