Your role: The Abatement Production Supervisor is responsible for leading the team for system production to achieve target output on-time, in full, and at quality. Special emphasis on ramp-up of a new product line. Develops and enables the team to deliver in a dynamic manufacturing environment within a competitive market. Reports all safety incidents (Near Miss, First Aid, and Loss Time Accident) within 24 hours. Responsible for providing coaching, performance reviews, and disciplinary discussions. Implement quality improvement (QRQC) methods and activities. Responsible for meeting daily production output goals. Manages and executes the production plan to deliver within committed lead-time to open customer demand. Drives a safety-first culture within the team and lead by example. Manages assembly capacity giving fast response to demand ramps and managing order backlog while maintaining labor effectiveness and productivity. Maintains an organized work area (6S) to include workstations, equipment & walkways. Drives continuous improvement activities in quality, cycle times, cost reduction, and process improvement through lean techniques and value engineering to enhance the capability of existing processes and waste prevention and removal. Manages and improves KPI metrics to produce systems on budget and in lead-time. Develops training process, procedures, and documentation to create and sustain the workforce competences. Develops a team culture which is customer-focused with emphasis on improved flexibility of manufacturing operations. Develops an open atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation. Maintains effective control of resources and purchased supplies in manufacturing and maintains the accuracy of all associated inventory. Ensures regular communications with all employees are maintained in line with the Company and the operations strategy. Encourages upward communication and engagement. Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance; works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation. Respectfully takes direction from manager; other duties as assigned. To succeed in this role, you will need: Minimum associates degree (or equivalent experience), bachelor’s degree preferred. Industry experience would be considered in the absence of a bachelor’s degree. Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing or assembly environment with 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience. Knowledge areas/Skills Well experienced with ERP programs – SAP experience beneficial. Competent in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and diagrams. Demonstrated skill and achievement in implementing Lean practices in an operations environment. Experience with hand tools and small power tools. Other requirements Ability to coach people with varying levels of education, expertise, and backgrounds. The ability to work effectively with multiple business groups to drive goals. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks. Strong communication skills. Ability to motivate and achieve results through others.
