The Professional Programs Administrator works with faculty, staff, consultants, and community partners to assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of CPS training programs and projects that provide professional development and capacity building opportunities for nonprofit and public sector professionals. Key responsibilities also include outreach and communication, participant support, program planning (with a strong emphasis on logistics), administration, implementation, budget development, and expense tracking. This position has a hybrid work schedule with weekly remote and on-campus work days. Some travel is required to support offsite case studies, training retreats, and field experiences. The Center’s portfolio includes professional development certificates, non-credit seminars and conferences, fellowship programs, international programs, as well as research and consulting projects. In accordance with the AAUP collective bargaining agreement, this position is open only to current PSU AAUP academic professionals. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of related experience or master’s degree with 1 year of related experience. Excellent oral and written skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a diverse stakeholder group, including professionals, government agency and Tribal government representatives, and international partners. Demonstrated organizational skills with a focus on managing needs of multiple programs, deadlines, and program leaders, staff, and participants. Experience and high comfort level with technology and ability to quickly learn new software. Knowledge of document creation, word processing, spreadsheet design and maintenance, record keeping via various software applications; intermediate MS Office skills. Ability to calculate revenue and expense projections and monitor actual expenditures against the budget. Experience with event planning and travel arrangements (reserving space on campus, catering, scheduling guest speakers, coordinating A/V equipment, arranging offsite travel, catering, lodging) with the ability to anticipate and solve problems. Strong analytic skills and creative problem-solving skills. Ability to travel with programs for group field experiences. Successful completion of background check. Possession of a valid State-issued driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree (preferably in public administration or related field) with 1 years of related experience. Experience interfacing with government or public/nonprofit agency representatives. Working knowledge of MyEmma, Drupal, Qualtrics, and BANNER. Experience processing contracts (e.g., catering, lodging, tour) and complex documents. Familiarity with grant and/or contracted work (e.g. proposals, policy compliance, and/or implementation). Marketing experience and ability to effectively leverage social media channels (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) to achieve program marketing and recruitment goals. Experience working in higher education and/or knowledge of academic and administrative procedures and practices within universities. Experience with supervision or position oversight. Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement: The starting annual salary rate for this position with an 80% FTE (32 hours/week) will be between $43,747 – $48,576 ($54,684 – $60,720 at 1.0 FTE) dependent upon qualifications and experience, with an excellent benefits package including 95% premium paid healthcare; a generous retirement and vacation package; and reduced tuition rates for employee, spouse, or dependent at any of the Oregon University System schools.
