Job Description: To support our growth, we are currently seeking a FLEX Residential Energy Efficiency Account Manager and Quality Control/Quality Assurance Technician to support the service we provide to our regulated industry clients. This account management part of the role is key to the success of residential energy efficiency market- and income-based programs with participating contractor networks. This field/ATL based role is part of a broad team of subject matter experts who work directly with all aspects of implementation of Energy Efficiency Programs. This role will work with a variety of stakeholders to onboard new contractors into the programs, grow the energy efficiency market for home performance, and educate customers and organizations on the available programs to customers. The QA/QC component aligns internal and external quality processes and systems and ensures both UES and our participating contractors are exceeding client expectations. Additional components of this role include review of QA/QC findings, implementation of solutions, clear and thoughtful communication with our participating contractors, and drive toward continuous improvement of quality processes. The ideal candidate is coming to the table with relationships in the housing, building science, rebate/incentives programs, and/or community development that you can leverage on day 1 Key Responsibilities: Provide technical support with key market actors in the HVAC, Insulation, Windows, Remodelers, General Contractors, distributors, home performance contractors, retailers, trade associations, home inspectors, public officials, non-profits, community organizations, public interest groups, consumers, and other interested parties to maximize program participation. Build a pipeline of program participants by conducting outreach to recruit and educate key stakeholders. Outreach will include group presentations, individual meetings, and telephone outreach and e-mail communications. Prepare and deliver technical presentations to key stakeholder groups on best practices related to tools, equipment, and quality installation practices. Gather field intelligence from key stakeholders and use this information to inform our outreach and delivery strategies. Participate in various weekday and weekend customer outreach activities as needed. Occasional weekend and after-hour Program support is required. Maintain program records and program participation requirements by updating account information. Track efforts and projects through a CRM database. Contribute to the deployment of program marketing and outreach campaigns. Support all aspects of customer and trade ally inquiries and broad engagement, resolving product and service problems and assisting with application submission and helping resolve application issues as needed. Be a public face and interact with a variety of audiences and stakeholders to convey the value and benefits of participating in the programs. Support field and desk quality assurance and quality control processes including the selection and field review and testing of residential insulation, HVAC, air infiltration and other energy efficiency improvements. Work with contractors to ensure compliance and adherence to program requirements and providing guidance in improvement opportunities. Work directly with customers to schedule and perform field QA/QC services. Support the process of regularly reviewing and updating critical program documentation and process manuals including field verification guides and forms. Work as part of a cross functional team and regularly meet with client and other key stakeholders to ensure best practices and continuous improvement initiatives are aligned on and implemented effectively. Provide technical training and guidance on building science best practices for trade allies. Conduct process flow audits to identify where improvements can be made to strengthen the outputs and findings or QC processes. Drive to assigned locations in your personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided). Minimum Qualifications: Associate Degree Experience in the energy efficiency industry, sustainability, electrification, or residential construction. Certification is required: BPI Analyst, HERS rater, DET Verifier or ability to obtain prior to start date. Knowledge of building science principles, HVAC systems, thermal boundary systems, and other installation and code requirements. Experience in conducting inspections, energy audits, energy efficiency upgrades, and/or building science education and implementation. 3 years of customer service experience Preferred Skills/Experience Associate degree or bachelor's degree (preferred) Experience working on energy efficiency programs, with specific expertise in residential energy use. Expert level of knowledge in building science best practices. Experience with energy modeling software (Ex: Snugg Pro) for both single family homes and multi-family buildings. (Ex: ASHRAE Level II Audits, DOE’s Quick Building Assessment Tool) 50-75% Travel within the State of Georgia, Mileage reimbursement provided.
