R2 Contractors, Inc. is looking for a dedicated Traveling Safety Coordinator to join our team. The Site Safety Coordinator serves as the specialist in safety by implementing best practices and procedures in accordance with company guidance and site-specific procedures to effectively control accident and health exposures. This is a full-time fieldwork position that reports to the Safety Manager. Position has travel required, from project to project as needed. Potential to be based in office in between projects (either Prineville Oregon or Gilbert Arizona), however, the majority of the position will be on the road at multiple project sites. Typical working hours for the site safety manager may vary. Generally, Monday – Friday 7-5, but when safety incidents occur, they may be required to work longer hours, including some weekend work. The list of primary responsibilities includes, but is not limited to the following: Perform job site walks (to be conducted on assigned job sites on a weekly basis) Attend safety leadership walks (as scheduled by GC) Update site management and Safety Manager on job site safety findings (upon completion of each audit or walk) Perform Pre-Task Plan auditing (conduct field evaluation and training of personnel to correct deficiencies) Perform job site audits (conduct evaluation based on corporate audit questionnaire) Educate/train labor/safety personnel about safety measures/practices (provide training and updates on policies and best practices) Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures (support field/safety personnel in understanding requirements of policies and procedures) Conduct safety orientation (on as needed basis) Manage accident/safety claims as they occur (accompany employee to urgent care as needed and perform case management with Safety Manager) Follow up on accidents and investigating causes (complete initial reports and provide investigation details. Assist/lead root cause analysis) Lead/support client/GC incident review meetings Coordinate with field supervision to support client and GC safety compliance Requirements: CST/CHST or relevant certificate is preferred Good understanding of legal health and safety guidelines Good communication and interpersonal abilities Good knowledge of MS Office Suite Up to 100% Travel may be required Preferred Experience: Heavy Civil Underground experience Knowledge of renewable energy Electrical Distribution (substation/BESS yards) Benefits: PTO / Sick Leave Medical/Dental/Vision for whole family 401k with company match 5 Year Employment Appreciation Bonus Company Truck Wage is $33-$45 per hour DOE, plus per diem based upon location J-18808-Ljbffr
