This challenging role involves managing the design of critical power systems for new data centers and expansions to existing data centers. The ideal candidate will have experience designing electrical systems specifically for large data centers, with in-depth knowledge of Electrical Power Distribution System design and installation. Previous experience with electrical equipment design, including Generators, UPS systems, and electrical switchgear, is essential. You will lead the design team and communicate with all trades and stakeholders involved in projects. Responsibilities: Manage projects, create designs and plans, gather specifications, and execute assignments in a multidisciplinary electrical engineering design role for small to medium-sized data center facility design projects. Create conceptual designs based on meetings with the client. Work with management to respond to RFPs. Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within company policies. Represent the company in project meetings as needed. Qualifications: 8-15 years of experience. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar engineering degree. Licensed PE/EIT is a plus. LEED AP is a plus. Experience with Revit MEP projects, AutoCAD MEP, and BIM is a plus. Experience with Electrical Systems such as UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), Generators, Switchgears, and Batteries is a must. Experience working on complex data center/mission critical facilities design projects is a must. Operations/maintenance of data centers is a huge plus. Previous military experience is a huge plus, particularly in roles related to Electrical/Mechanical systems. Ability to work independently. Self-starter, self-motivated, and able to prioritize well.
